This weather station is maintained by an experienced weather equipment technician.   The Lexington Co-Op Wx station has two systems; the National Weather Service equipment and a Davis & R M Young wx system.   The temperature is verified with a Taylor psychrometer.   The data reported on this site is the same as reported to NWS for official weather data archive.   The rain database (as reported on this site) is adjusted to agree with the rain amount as measured with the NWS Standard Rain Gauge.
